Traveling Teller (20 Hour) - Northern Utah County
Our employees in Retail Support are a key piece to the success and daily functions of our branches across Zions Bank. Retail Support is a department of traveling tellers and bankers who support Zions Bank branches throughout their geographical area in the case of absenteeism. This position offers an opportunity to gain a large skill set in the fundamentals of banking while also providing networking opportunities.
Our mission is to support our branches and help them to fulfill strategic objectives and carry out Zions Bank’s company vision.
Minimum pay is $17 per hour.
Responsibilities- Process debit and credit transactions accurately in compliance with established policies and procedures, while maintaining a balancing record.
- Identify and address clients' needs by providing a variety of services (opening new accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing/activating ATM cards, performing money transfers, ordering checks, receiving loan payments, etc.).
- Resolve client problems either through direct action or referral to alternative branch or bank resources.
- Identify and maximize cross‑sell opportunities by exploring needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and some cashiering, customer service, balancing, or related experience.
- Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and banking.
- Solid balancing and customer service skills. Ability to cross‑sell bank products based on client needs.
- Experience selling products and services based on customer needs preferred.
- Retail Support covers a geographical area; mileage reimbursements are provided whenever an employee travels over 25 miles round‑trip from their home.
- This position primarily supports branches in the South Salt Lake and Northern Utah County area and may be sent to cover shifts as far north as Salt Lake City and as far south as Provo.
