The Donor Telerecruiter recruits a portion of the community blood supply. Contacts previous blood and platelet donors via the telephone, mail, email, and other means to invite them to donate blood or platelets. Keeps and updates call lists and donor records. Assists in maintaining donor appreciation and recognition programs. Provides excellent customer service.

Essential Functions- Recruits blood and platelet donors via telephone or other means.
- Schedules donors and updates donor records accurately.
- Recognizes and appropriately escalates potential problems or donor issues to management.
- Maintains basic knowledge of the blood and platelet donation process.
- Communicates blood and platelet donation information to potential donors.
- Effectively answers basic questions about donating blood and the community blood supply.
- Refers medical questions to appropriate Blood Services staff.
- Knowledgeable about special patient needs and requests and how to recruit appropriate donors to meet those needs.
- Utilizes Itsy/Engage and other software as required to recruit and maintain donor records.
- Maintains donor and patient confidentiality at all times.
- Assists with promotional activities for Blood Services as assigned.
- May attend special events to educate and promote blood donation in the community.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Stooping:
Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. - Reaching:
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. - Mobility:
The person in this position needs to move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. - Communicate:
Frequently communicate with others. - PPE:
Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies. - ARUP Policies and Procedures:
To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures. - Sedentary Work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent or better.
ExperiencePreferred
- Telemarketing, customer service, marketing, or sales experience
- Basic proficiency with computer based programs and performing internet searches
- Basic proficiency level using Microsoft Office software
