American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a night shift, 7-on/7-off travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of ultrasound experience and ARRT or ARDMS certification.
Details- Outpatient imaging center ultrasound department
- Performs ultrasound examinations on patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- 7-on/7-off schedule; shift begins Wednesday at 9:00 PM and ends the following Wednesday at 7:00 AM
- 10-hour night/graveyard shifts, 4 days per week, totaling 40 hours per week
- Weekend coverage is required
- Charting is performed in Epic
- Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound experience required
- X-ray experience is preferred in addition to ultrasound
- ARRT (RT) or ARDMS certification required; ARDMS must include successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics (options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, and vascular)
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; must not expire prior to assignment start
- Active license required if applicableDOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Performs ultrasound examinations under physician direction for identification of abnormalities leading to patient diagnosis
- Ensures proper patient identification, verifies orders, and prepares patients for exams using appropriate imaging techniques in accordance with ACR guidelines
- Demonstrates proficiency on all clinical equipment within the department and follows proper protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, documentation, and quality control
- Physical demands include carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, standing, sitting, and manual dexterity
- Former permanent staff at any facility in this health system must be separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
