An established healthcare technology organization is seeking an experienced Medical Equipment Technician to support the maintenance, repair, calibration, and inspection of a wide range of biomedical equipment. The Role

As a Medical Equipment Technician, you'll be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining a variety of medical devices used across healthcare environments. You'll help ensure equipment remains safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on a wide range of medical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair biomedical devices.
  • Conduct technical inspections of new, existing, and refurbished equipment.
  • Complete equipment calibrations and functional testing.
  • Carry out major repairs and equipment refurbishments.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage work orders.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Candidate Profile Experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience servicing biomedical or medical equipment.
  • Experience working within hospitals, healthcare providers, OEMs, or independent service organizations.
  • Strong preventative maintenance, repair, and calibration experience.
Qualifications

One of the following is preferred:

  • Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or a related technical discipline.
  • Military or equivalent biomedical technical training.
Technical Skills
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation.
  • Experience using CMMS or service management software.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain any required background clearances.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the region (up to 15%).
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Experience supporting government, military, or large healthcare organizations would be considered an advantage.
