Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Intermountain Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging in a patient-centered, collaborative environment. Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
• Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals following radiation safety standards
• Position patients and operate gamma cameras and related imaging systems to acquire diagnostic-quality images
• Process, review, and transmit imaging data accurately within PACS and EMR systems
• Verify patient identity, obtain pertinent history, and explain procedures to patients and families
• Monitor patients during and after procedures, responding appropriately to changes in condition
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements at all times
• Perform and document routine quality control tests on nuclear medicine equipment
• Maintain accurate records of radiopharmaceutical inventory, doses, and usage logs
• Collaborate with radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and clinical staff to optimize patient care
• Participate in ongoing education, competency evaluations, and department quality-improvement initiatives
