The Human Resource Administrator aids with and facilitates HR processes, providing administrative support including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry.
Job Title: HR Administrator
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: HR Manager
The Human Resource Administrator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry.
Functional Responsibilities- Data entry of employee changes in HRIS and other record keeping systems
- Manages employee files and documents into appropriate employee files
- Processing of terminations
- Supports creation of Payroll Forms and Offer Letters
- Maintain Payroll Tracking Process
- Audits in BHR and JDE
- Backup for BHR and Paycom Audit
- Backup for BHR and LMS Audit
- Run reports for other departments
- Maintains documents including organizational chart
- Compliance reports for DOL
- Asist with salary research
- Assists with review processes including 90 day and annual goals
- Process verifications of employment
- Reconciles HR petty cash, coding of HR invoices, and Amex purchases.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by team members and the management group
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested
- Support tracking of Immigration, reimbursements, and charitable contributions
- Manage HR, Info, and other email groups
- Answer main phone line
- Deliver and sort mail
- Organize room bookings, lunches, conferences, and meetings
- Support morale events
- Backup support to onboarding processes including orientation
- Backup processes pre-hire checks including background checks, physicals
- Backup support for OE, RIF's and mobilization (travel may be required)
- Other duties as assigned
- Work in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Cementation
- Incorporate Health and Safety considerations in all functions and daily activities of the position
- Monitor work environment for health and safety hazards or infractions and reports the same to Health and Safety Department
- Keep work area clean and free of clutter
- Use proper equipment for the job, i.e. stepladder vs. chair
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years of HR/administrative/clerical work or relatable experience preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite:
Word, Excel, Outlook, Access - Systems include Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe Sign, JD Edwards, Bamboo HR, and Paycom
- Experience in the mining industry is an asset
- None
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Manage confidential communications and information
- Ability to work under time constraints and adhere to deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
- Manage multiple tasks, establish priorities
- Superior keyboarding skills and accuracy with attention to detail
