GIS Developer

Requirements

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geographic Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• We are looking for at least 2 years of experience with ArcGIS or other GIS platforms and geospatial technologies.
• We expect familiarity with software development methodologies and application lifecycle management.
• We need an understanding of large-scale system integration principles and technical architecture.

• We design, develop, test, implement, tailor, integrate, and maintain geospatial applications, Intelli-Fiber platform capabilities, and related systems.
• We use ArcGIS and other GIS tools to create, maintain, update, and enhance spatial data, mapping systems, and project databases.
• We support Dev Ops, change management, and service management activities, including code releases, issue resolution, and user assistance.
• We investigate complex technical problems, carry out preventative maintenance, and help ensure application and system reliability, security, and performance.
• We partner with project teams to assess requirements, build solutions, lead initiatives when needed, and help deliver business objectives.
• We stay informed about new GIS and mapping technologies while encouraging continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and user training.

We are JSI, and we are seeking a GIS Developer to join our Information Technology team in a remote capacity. This is a full-time role supporting our OSP – Engineering & Design department, based in Nephi, UT, with reporting to Morgan Ray.
