** Position Overview
** The
** Commercial Claims Assistant
** is an entry-level role that supports the commercial claims team by serving as the first point of contact for new claims. This position involves speaking with customers, gathering and documenting claim information, while referring claims to the appropriate adjusters.

** Time & Location
** This is a full-time, hourly position that works at WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters with the opportunity for hybrid work (in office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) after the training period.  
** Compensation
* * The hourly pay rate for this position is $21.00 to $24.00 based upon skills and experience.  
** Responsibilities
* ** Review and process incoming claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
* Provide prompt and courteous telephone support, making every effort to assist the caller.
* Support claims adjusters by making initial contact with customers and other involved parties.
* In certain cases, investigate claims by contacting claimants, witnesses, or medical providers to take initial statements or gather necessary information.
* Manage minor claims, ensuring they are resolved promptly and efficiently.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims activities.
* Assist with improvements to claims processes and procedures.
* Coordinate with repair professionals to obtain estimates and ensure quality repairs.
* Direct complex claims to the appropriate claims adjuster.
* Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external contacts.
** Qualifications
* ** High school diploma required. Associate’s degree preferred.
* At least two years of customer service experience.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications.
* Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
* Consistent demonstration of exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
