Sr. Director, Global Ethics & Compliance Lead

Overview

Seqirus is a global influenza vaccine provider seeking an Ethics & Compliance Lead to develop, embed, and continuously improve the company’s global Ethics & Compliance framework across all functions and regions.

• Develop, establish, and manage the strategic framework, execution cadence, and ongoing updates of the global Ethics & Compliance (E&C) framework, ensuring compliance with applicable non‑GxP laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Align the E&C framework with Seqirus’ risk‑management frameworks and evaluate the significance of each ethics and compliance related risk in the context of the company’s overall risks and strategic goals.
• Provide solutions‑focused, business‑enabling E&C risk advice and guidance to the business, supporting risk identification, management, controls, mitigation, and advising on impacts from regulatory and business changes.
• Define and implement a global Ethics & Compliance program across regions, including training, Speak Up/hotline matters, investigations, third‑party due diligence, regional SOPs, periodic risk assessments, gap analyses, and audit programs.
• Lead primary E&C support for the Americas region and provide overall leadership of the Seqirus Ethics & Compliance team, including resource planning, role modelling, and capability development across geographies.
• Develop and maintain a global repository of Ethics & Compliance information that is current and accessible.
• Lead compliance meetings and deep‑dive sessions into key risk areas; develop metrics/KPIs and monitor Speak Up investigations and regulatory issues.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Risk and Monitoring & Assurance stakeholders to support E&C reporting, governance, and risk‑based monitoring and testing.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen Ethics & C capability (including technology, in collaboration with IT) and implement improvements in accordance with agreed plans.
• Manage and develop employees across multiple global locations and work cross‑functionally in a cross‑cultural matrixed environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or Law (advanced degree preferred).
• 10+ years of international corporate experience in Compliance and risk management, including significant Ethics & Compliance program leadership.
• 5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, biotech, or medical device industry, with strong knowledge of relevant codes of practice.
• Demonstrated ability to identify emerging risks and trends, think strategically about complex risk issues, and deliver pragmatic, solutions‑oriented, business‑enabling advice.
• Experience driving and overseeing complex projects to successful completion in global, cross‑functional, and matrixed environments.
• Strong stakeholder influencing and communication skills with sound business acumen and judgment.
• Leadership experience in managing and developing employees across multiple global locations.
• Ability to work in a cross‑functional, cross‑cultural matrixed environment and willingness to travel globally.
