Due to continued growth across North America, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale data center construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.
This is a travel-intensive role requiring regular presence on project sites across key growth markets including Texas, Georgia, Utah, and other locations as required.
Position SummaryThe Senior Project Manager will assume full responsibility for the execution of complex data center construction projects, overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle including planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and client handover. The successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, oversee budgets and schedules, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the full lifecycle delivery of hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center construction projects
- Manage project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, risk management, and resource allocation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee project teams including construction managers, engineers, subcontractors, and commissioning partners.
- Monitor project performance against schedule, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
- Drive project execution from pre-construction through commissioning and final turnover.
- Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
- Provide regular project reporting to senior leadership and clients.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain delivery objectives.
- Support business growth through client relationship management and participation in project pursuits when required.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. 8+ years of project management experience within commercial or mission-critical construction environments.
- Demonstrated experience delivering data center construction projects is required.
- Proven track record managing full project life cycles from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, critical infrastructure, commissioning processes, and mission-critical environments.
- Experience managing large project budgets and complex stakeholder groups.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software and project controls systems.
- PMP, CCM, PE, or similar professional certifications are advantageous.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States.
- Regular site presence required across active projects, including Texas, Georgia, Utah, and other strategic data center markets.
