Job SummaryThe Senior Director advises on the direction and strategy for all divisions contained within the Mill Entrepreneurship Center in collaboration with the Dean of the Gail Miller Business School. Those divisions include Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses, the Mill Co‑working/incubator space, Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Global Business Center, and Conference Center, Refugee Leadership Adult and Youth programs as well as various initiatives and programs related to the Everyday Entrepreneur Program.
The Senior Director is responsible for growth and revenue generation across all divisions. The Senior Director plans, coordinates, motivates, evaluates and develops new and existing programs within each division by assuming responsibility for overall leadership including budgeting, fundraising, administration, personnel and management of the divisions to achieve the College mission. Accountability of operational growth should be well documented with an assessment plan in collaboration with the Dean of the Gail Miller Business School.
The Senior Director will hire, develop and coach personnel in each of the divisions. The Senior Director solves problems within each department by navigating college policy, systems, and coordination with other departments and divisions. Additional program responsibilities include grant writing, fundraising, acquiring sponsor ships, writing quarterly and annual reports, and administrative and budget management.
The Senior Director conducts outreach and represents the college and The Mill Entrepreneurship Center by maintaining meaningful relationships with major national, state and community agencies to promote cross‑referrals, recruitment and outreach, and community and economic development activity. The Senior Director attends events, committee meetings, board meetings, and chamber programs to elevate The Mill Entrepreneurship Center brand and develop new clients, sponsors and revenue.
The Senior Director ensures curriculum and program updates for all training and education programs available to emerging, small and medium‑size businesses. This includes curriculum revisions for Refugee Leadership programs and Global Education courses as well as the Everyday Entrepreneur Program.
The Senior Director actively engages in outreach as well as supervises and directs the activities within The Mill Entrepreneurship Center, which includes marketing functions, website and social media creation and maintenance, presentations, speeches, educational seminars, teaching entrepreneurship classes, both credit and non‑credit, and data gathering and reporting for college and grant compliance. The Senior Director manages and participates in community sponsor ships, board memberships, and engagement with numerous community and national organizations.
