Night Shift: 12 hour rotating shift
Job SummaryAs an Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machines/equipment used in the production of medical devices. Your primary role will be to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the equipment to meet production targets and maintain product quality. Participants in all team meetings, activities, team building initiatives, and operational excellence activities.

Responsibilities- Operate multiple processes on or around high speed automated or semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
- Participate in equipment changeovers or set‑ups.
- Monitor assigned processes to ensure high quality production.
- Respond to machine faults and restore to normal operation.
- Participate in autonomous maintenance to maintain assigned equipment/area.
- Drive to meet or exceed all expected line/zone performance.
- Remove defective product from the automated or semi-automated processes.
- Maintain accurate records and documents as required.
- Continuously improve through the Kaizen Action Sheet (KAS) program.
- Produce high quality products manufactured per task documents.
- Maintain equipment and a clean area by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down equipment.
- Maintain an open line of communication to ensure all problems/changes are communicated and resolved in a timely manner.
- Participate in root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues as needed.
- Participate in tier 1 shifts' start‑up meetings, 5S, and Kaizen events.
- Support and maintain a safe working environment including the submission of employee safety observations (ESO).
- Be willing to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Have the ability to train other associates as needed.
- Be able to identify production issues and communicate them clearly to support functions.
- Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety & quality regulations, policies, procedures including RCRA Hazardous Waste regulations, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
- High School Diploma/GED or 1 year consecutive work experience.
- 2 years on the job experience.
- Must be able to read & write in written English and communicate in verbal English.
- Effectively work in a team setting and communicate across the department.
- Ability to work on assignments that are semi‑routine in nature with the skill to recognize any deviations from specification.
- Operate independently within the constraints of approved process‑related documentation.
- Analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic.
- Basic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and basic use of a Windows environment.
