Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Planned Maintenance (PM) Leader, this role will be responsible for maintaining equipment through performing regular PM tasks and other maintenance activities as required according to the equipment maintenance plan. The incumbent will assist the manufacturing unit team with production maintenance issues as necessary and mentor unit technical staff in troubleshooting and operational repair techniques. The role must be willing to adjust the work schedule as needed to perform essential PM activities and maximize equipment availability.
Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures, best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations.
- Maintain equipment by performing PM activities, ensuring activities are completed on‑time and executed according to the plan.
- Work closely with Maintenance Planner to ensure maintenance tasks are well documented.
- Conduct regular maintenance audits of equipment, identifying potential continuous improvement opportunities to improve PM program effectiveness.
- Provide leadership for TPM activities as assigned.
- Support the organization and preparation of spare parts and other applicable materials required to complete maintenance tasks for planned maintenance periods and equipment rebuild program.
- Required to work during plant shut down periods to perform maintenance activities.
- Provide support to the manufacturing unit technical teams as required to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Assist with technical development and training opportunities for unit technical staff on all shifts.
- Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
- High School Diploma/GED:
Required - Associate’s Degree – Preferred Mechanical or other related technical field
- 3 years’ experience in Automation Assembly Manufacturing (preferred)
