Job Description
The Mold Maintenance Supervisor will report directly to the Manufacturing Unit Leader. This position requires a hands-on approach working with Mold Technicians with different skill sets. The role will work directly with the machine shop supervisor and the Molding parts coordinators and communicate what is needed for mold repair and spare parts. The direct reports for this position will be Mold Maintenance Technicians 1, 2 and 3.

Stay responsive and accessible during working hours, ensuring your team and stakeholders get timely replies when they need you most - Keep Everyone in the Loop:
Provide regular, transparent updates throughout every process—whether it's timeline adjustments, unexpected challenges, headcount changes, or when molds need to be pulled - Master the
Schedule:
Own the preventive maintenance calendar for the entire week while staying agile enough to accommodate urgent repairs and last-minute changes - Champion Quality Excellence:
Ensure every mold that leaves your shop meets the highest standards—eliminating issues like increased cavitation and water leaks before they impact production - Lead with
Purpose:
Conduct bi-weekly staff meetings with your direct reports to discuss concerns, review policies, share upcoming events, and create space for team members to contribute ideas for improvement. You'll include off-shift team members too, whether they call in or join on-site - Drive Continuous Improvement:
Take an active, hands-on role in continuous improvement initiatives within the Molding department, helping shape the future of operations - Roll Up Your Sleeves:
Jump onto the bench when headcount is short—you're not afraid to do the work yourself to keep production moving smoothly - Maintain Documentation Standards:
Review and update Standard Work Instructions in the Mold Shop, ensuring procedures stay current and effective - Manage Disruptions Proactively:
Provide weekly updates on any PM or repair schedule disruptions, such as down molds that impact the shop's workflow, keeping leadership informed and solutions-focused
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years managing people
- Experience in manufacturing/machine shop Mold maintenance, mold set-up, and troubleshooting – Knowledge of tooling procedures and operation of shop equipment
- Bachelor's Degree
- Personal Protective Equipment must be worn and may include a hair net, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and/or ear plugs
- This associate may be expected to stand for long periods of time during their shift
- PPE Required – Safety shoes and safety glasses are always required, high vis vest and ear protection as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
