6 Months Contract

40 hours/week (including overtime). Nights 5pm-5am rotating shift with no Sundays.

Looking for a reliable candidate that can work OT possibly up to 50 hours a week to operate a machine in the extrusion department. This is a potential long‑term position.

• Demonstrate ability to become certified on all types of equipment within the Extrusion Department and perform all duties required of an Extrusion Operator.
• Produce quality products per the established standard operating procedures (SOPs) utilizing good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
• Maintain a safe work area and demonstrate team‑oriented behaviors.
• Clean the work area according to the cleaning guidelines for the Extrusion Department.
• Use equipment respectfully and demonstrate respectful use of property.
• Perform machine set‑ups, changeovers, troubleshooting, and maintenance with little or no supervision.
• Adjust equipment within the guidelines of the process master to meet production and quality expectations.
• Complete and interpret statistical process control charts to keep the production process within limits.
• Obtain and track the necessary materials for manufacturing on work orders.
• Work overtime when required.
• Conduct Shift Start‑Up (SSU) meetings and maintain Primary Visual Display (PVD) boards.
• Comply with all local, state, federal, and client safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA hazardous waste regulations.
• Comply with all local client quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Competent in basic mathematics and computer skills.
• Effective communication skills.

• Mechanical changeover or troubleshooting experience.
• 1–4 years operating and maintaining plastic processing equipment, or related experience within a production environment, including all duties of an Extrusion Operator.
• Attention to detail.
• Medical device experience a plus.
• Reliability and willingness to work up to 60 hours a week.
• Experience that demonstrates ability to perform within a position of significant responsibility applicable to machine skills.
