Print Finishing Operator

The primary responsibility of the Print Finishing Operator is to produce complex orders and operate large format equipment. They will assist the Production Manager in managing, monitoring, and facilitating all systems, equipment and production. They will manage the job tracking process, coordinate production, perform all aspects of finishing jobs (trimming, laminating, mounting), perform quality checks on all jobs prior to shipping, properly package orders and ensure that they are shipped out in a timely manner.

Mechanical knowledge of display hardware will be required in order to perform repairs as needed. They are required to communicate with the Production Manager and other team members any issues with job production including, but not limited to, printer malfunctions, media issues, inventory requirements (for media, hardware and shipping supplies).

• Process and produce orders in accordance to workflow requirements or as directed.

• Operate printing and auxillary equipment.

• Receive and facilitate incoming shipments of display hardware, media, and customer returns or repairs, ensuring they are handled in a timely and efficient manner.

• Motivated to expand knowledge in cross training for other areas.

• Perform all phases of equipment set-up, operation and routine maintenance.

• Maintain all equipment and supplies including, but not limited to, ink, media, display hardware and shipping supplies. To include cleaning and repairing.

• Provide customer service, including problem solving to satisfy those needs with a minimum amount of supervision.

• Follow instructions of supervisors and assist other team members as necessary.

• Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste.

• Troubleshoot equipment and customer problems using extensive knowledge of company policies, solutions and resources.

• Communicate with supervisor and management to keep them informed of any issues

• Customer service as needed

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by ensuring trash disposal and sweeping are done on a consistent basis.

* Help with weekly cleaning essentials.

• All other duties as needed or required.

• No previous print shop work required, but beneficial.

• Ability to stand during entire shift (excluding breaks).

• Ability to move and lift 55 lbs +.

• Ability to communicate effectively to customers, vendors, supervisors and co-workers.

• Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure.

• Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction.

• Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Starting pay based on previous experience.
