Location:
Situated in the greater Salt Lake City area, the facility specializes in critical cardiovascular care with a dedicated 24-bed ICU unit. The unit maintains a patient ratio of 1:2, adjusting to acuity levels as needed, and operates with a robust staff team of 46 professionals. The location offers a supportive, technologically advanced workplace equipped with EPIC electronic documentation.
- Active Utah Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years ICU nursing experience; strong consideration for solid 1-year experience with cardiac patient care.
- Proficient in ICU procedures such as rapid sequence intubations, central line and arterial line placement, bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and ventilator management.
- Comfortable managing patients on vasopressors, arterial lines, and restraints.
- ACLS certification required.
- Ability to work straight night shifts or a 50/50 schedule.
- Outgoing, collaborative team player personality preferred.
- Deliver direct nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients in a 24-bed CVICU.
- Monitor and manage cardiac support devices including IABP and CRRT.
- Participate in unit staffing and floating to Progressive Care Unit or other inpatient areas as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC.
- Adhere to unit policies, including weekend shift requirements and dress code (Caribbean Blue scrubs).
- Nights schedule available: straight nights or 50/50 split.
- Approximately 3 weekend shifts within every 4-week period.
