Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN Nights

Position:
Full Time NOC – 6am – 6pm

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, and treatments.
• Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment record.
• Ensure proper storage and security of prescription drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non‑compliance with a treatment plan, and resident response to medication regime with prompt notification of any adverse reactions.
• Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and the medication stored properly.
• Ensure the correct disposal of all sharps.
• Enter key information into computer systems including EMR.
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures.
• React appropriately to emergency and disaster situations.
• Other duties as necessary and assigned.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, active license as an LPN.
• Experience in long‑term geriatric nursing care, preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language.
• Must be able to communicate verbally in the English language.
• Must have basic arithmetic skills in all units of measurement and weight measurement.
• Must have empathy along with exceptional communication and customer service skills.

• Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases.
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50–100 lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.
