UVEC offers a level of in-house mentorship that is rare in veterinary medicine. Our leadership team brings deep clinical expertise and is personally invested in the professional development of every doctor on staff. Whether you’re a recent graduate building confidence or a seasoned clinician sharpening your edge, you will learn and grow faster here than at any other practice. We don’t just say we develop our people—we structure our entire operation around it.
Our veterinarians are expected to cut. Surgery is a core part of practicing the gold standard of medicine, and we take it seriously. If you’re already confident in the OR, great. If you’re not there yet, we will teach you. That’s not a throwaway line—our mentorship is built to get you comfortable and competent with a scalpel in your hand.
THRIVES HERE
UVEC is built for veterinarians who take pride in their craft. We look for people with a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine desire to grow. The clinicians who thrive here are the ones who hold themselves to a high standard, welcome feedback, and find energy in working alongside a team that operates the same way. This is a place where your effort is matched by the people around you and where the work you do has real meaning.
Culture is everything to us. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for disrespectful or toxic behavior, regardless of clinical talent or seniority. UVEC is a team of professionals who treat each other with respect, communicate openly, and hold each other accountable. That standard applies to everyone equally, and it’s one of the things that makes this place worth building.
