Part-time Shoe Runner Associate; Evenings and Weekends

As a potential future employee owner at Scheels, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience in a world‑class and fast‑paced retail environment. Whether working on the sales floor, in the support space, or in a leadership role, you will be empowered to drive our mission to be the best retailer in the USA in the eyes and minds of our customers, associates, and business partners.

• Assist in Men's, Women's, and Youth shoe areas
• Be proactive in communicating with the Specialty Shop Manager and team to understand urgent needs in the area
• Select shoes from backstock and place them in the staging area for sales associates
• Return any unpurchased shoes to the correct areas in backstock
• Assist Customer Service with shoe return processing and return items to the sales floor
• Keep the product organized to eliminate clutter and maintain accurate inventory records
• Initiate a warm and welcoming interaction with customers, establishing a rapport and offering assistance, setting a positive tone for the customer's experience
• Maintain a smooth flow of service to minimize wait times for customers
• Be organized, multi‑task, and maintain all aspects of the Shoe Runner role
• Work independently and with the team
• Use strong oral and written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and promptly
• Apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Demonstrate attention to detail
• Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures
• Willing to perform other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and merchandiser leads
• Work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Demonstrate pride and ownership of work while meeting expected deadlines

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or 1‑3 months of sales experience.

• Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
• Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Follow all safety procedures and perform job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury
