Position: Part Time Bike Builder (Mornings, Evenings, and Weekends)

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and assemble customer and store equipment, including bicycles, exercise machines, snowboards, skis, hockey skates and sticks, baseball gloves and bats, golf clubs, racquet sports, paintball markers, and other merchandise.
  • Maintain accurate records for store and customer equipment.
  • Ensure a clean and professional environment.
  • Assist with delivering and loading customer equipment and merchandise at the store and to customer residences.
  • Speak for extended periods to customers or associates.
  • Apply exceptional problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Write reports and speak effectively before groups of customers and associates.
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude, contributing to a positive team atmosphere and treating others with respect and consideration in accordance with Scheels policies and procedures.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Work a varied schedule that includes weekends, evenings, holidays, and scheduled training meetings.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Leadership.
Compensation

Position pays $15.00 per hour.

Education & Experience

Ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, GED, 1–3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 16 years of age is required. Strong mechanical ability is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Very heavy work: occasional lifting of more than 100 pounds, frequent lifting of more than 50 pounds, or constant lifting of more than 20 pounds. Physical demands are in excess of those for heavy work.
