Responsibilities- Greet all customers when entering and exiting the store
- Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits
- Accurately balance cash drawer at the end of the day
- Maintain a clean working environment and personal workspace
- Engage in conversation with the customer to add a personal touch to each transaction
- End each transaction by saying “thank you” to every customer
- Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
- Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth
- Perform basic math calculations (rate, ratio, percent) and interpret bar graphs
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Write simple correspondence
- Effectively present information to customers and other employees in one‑on‑one and small group situations
- Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
- Show strong initiative and vision for continuous improvement while contributing to a positive team atmosphere
- Exercise judgment and tact while working with customers or coworkers
- Communicate effectively and in a timely manner at all levels of the organization
- Work assigned schedules which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Assist in all other duties as assigned
Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be available minimum of two weekends a month. Average hours per week are 15–25 hours.

Basic Skills
- Apply concepts of basic math, grammar, punctuation and spelling
High‑school diploma or GED preferred and/or 1–3 months of cashiering experience.
Physical Requirements- Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Follow all safety procedures and perform job duties in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury.
