Retail Sales Associate

$14.00 to $17.00 per hour. Commission structure pays you for every transaction processed, with an additional 8% on sales, potentially adding $4.00 per hour on top of your base rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to ensure excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

• Greet and interact with customers, developing rapport to recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandising displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle all cash and negotiable items following established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partner with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully complete all assigned training.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored in exterior locations.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, be team‑oriented, and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Must have a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers may earn 2‑8% commission on gross profit based on personal performance, with details provided during the interview process.
