Supervises Retail Sales Floor activities to ensure that goals are met and serves, when required, as Supervisor in Charge of the entire facility. Responsible for ensuring a high level of guest and donor service, uniformly enforcing Easterseals-Goodwill policies and procedures, and cross‑training in all aspects of Goodwill operations. Performs duties according to the established Best Practices of ESGW and works flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
ResponsibilitiesGoodwill sites encounter changing and unpredictable circumstances regarding the flow of donations and the need to efficiently move a significant volume of goods through the processing and retail store system. This position is expected to be responsive to these needs, show initiative to accomplish tasks, and be prepared to move between assignments as priorities change.
Qualifications- Sensitive to guest needs and wishes.
- Ability to work effectively with people with disabilities or other special needs.
- Computer experience and proficiency with internet use and a variety of computer software applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, monetary, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language in order to communicate with staff and guests.
- All positions require the completion of a background check; a criminal record does not automatically bar employment.
- Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
- Physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.
- Able to lift and carry 20–100 pounds with team lifting or mechanical assistance.
- Able to stand, stoop, bend, or carry for extended periods.
- Able to stand and walk entire shift.
- Tolerate extreme changes in temperature and humidity.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends, or longer shifts if needed.
- May be required to work more than 40 hours per week.
