Retail Customer Service - Commons at South Towne Rack

Job Summary

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you will work in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment, continuously moving and collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers. Your role involves ensuring a quick and easy customer experience, keeping the store clean and clutter‑free, and flexibly working across different areas of the store to maintain cleanliness and help customers find great deals.

• Work with the team to keep the sales floor “runway ready” by re‑merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers during cashiering with transactions across in‑store, online and mobile platforms, operating a point‑of‑sale system, bagging items of all sizes, handling bulky and sometimes heavy items, and ensuring a seamless and friendly experience.
• Create a smooth fitting‑room experience by greeting and assisting customers, sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
• Keep the stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies.
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset‑protection standards.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.

• Receive, unload, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to the selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders following packaging and shipping standards.
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
• Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
• Provide general support to the store, such as setting up special events, organizing backroom markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

• Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
• Handle bulky and occasionally awkwardly shaped items, including lifting items above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Stock and Fulfillment only: frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Hourly: $17.05 – $17.75 (depends on location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience).
