Role Description
We are seeking a highly capable individual for Account Manager, US Petcare Division. The role utilizes solution selling, territory management, and business planning to maximize sales performance within the assigned geography. This position is field based and requires travel and occasional evening work for educational programs. Candidates should reside within the territory.
Position Responsibilities- Sales Performance: meet overall sales objectives (quota) and for key growth products via demand generation within the target geography; successfully launch new products, services, and generate new equipment leads.
- Solution Selling & Technical Knowledge: consistently demonstrate solution selling capabilities, build and demonstrate relevant technical knowledge, verbal fluency, and veterinary practice expertise; build effective relationships and service all targeted hospitals and personnel to maintain and grow relevance and access within each account. Interact with customers following all Zoetis promotional guidelines.
- Territory Management and Teamwork: develop and execute a Territory Business Plan and resource allocation; implement Zoetis resources and maximize ROI; meet field activity expectations (sales call activity and investment in medical education programs); execute a call cycle at the account and veterinarian level; work professionally with all Zoetis Petcare colleagues and consistently meet expectations around integrity/compliance, work ethic, role/responsibility, conduct/attire, effective communication, administrative responsibilities, and teamwork.
& Experience
- Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required.
- 3‑10 years of documented and successful consultative sales experience.
- Proven ability to creatively identify opportunities or solve problems to drive sales performance.
- Experience in the animal health industry and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to enhance decision‑making.
- Excellent project management skills and budget management.
- Self‑starter, works independently and as part of a close team.
- Willingness to accept and incorporate feedback.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn Zoetis systems.
- Strong judgment and decision‑making based on relevant information.
- Ability and willingness to travel and work some evenings as required by the position.
- Full‑time, regular employee.
