Warehouse Associate

Position Summary

Material Handler and Delivery Driver, 20% delivery driving tasks. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

• Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to the production floor.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
• Use a computer to enter records.
• Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
• Drive lift trucks to transport stored items throughout the plant or to pick up items from department locations for shipment.
• Maintain inventory records.
• Deliver product to local customers.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
• 1-2 years of forklift driving experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Delivery driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
