Truck Fueler

Summary:

The Truck Fueler will report directly to the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for operation and refueling of all vehicles that are returned to the yard on a daily basis.

• Fuels all vehicles returned to the yard on a daily basis.
• Operates vehicle in accordance with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA)/Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). as well as all local, state and federal requirements.
• Track, monitor and measure fuel being dispensed into each unit.
• Keep accurate nightly records to ensure all vehicles are fueled on time.
• Understands and practices operating as prescribed in Athens Services Safety Rules.
• Immediately reports any unsafe situations/service calls to the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor.
• Participates and cooperates in all scheduled training, briefings, and Safety meetings as required by the Company.
• Makes use of standard tools and resources provided by the Company.
• Notifies Fleet Maintenance Supervisor of any incidents/accidents/injures/property damage.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A or B Driver's License.
• 1+ years of experience operating a commercial vehicle.
• Must have basic math skills (Add, subtract, multiply & divide).
• Able to meet all DOT requirements.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Bilingual English / Spanish.
• Work experience in the waste, environmental services, energy, or transportation industry.

• Standing, walking, seeing, hearing, and smelling continuously.
• Problem solving, oral/written communication, analytical ability, concentration, and interpersonal abilities continuously.
• Eye/hand coordination, handling, and wrist motion continuously.
• Bending, reaching, stretching, frequently, and lifting ≤ 50 Lbs. occasionally.

• Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, grease, oil, chemicals, wet/hot conditions, and noise continuously.
• Works outside only.

Monday - Thursday: 5:30 pm - 3:30 am;
Sunday: 4:00 am - 2:00 pm. Off Friday and Saturday.

$25.01 - $26.01 per hour.
