Project Accountant Manager

Ensure that construction projects stay on budget and meet financial goals. Manage the accounts of a company’s construction projects by collaborating with project managers to process monthly draws, auditing payables, estimating cash flow, and maintaining receivables. Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners (AR), vendors, and suppliers. Stay updated with both the construction and accounting industry, including lien laws. Assist in setting up and maintaining construction project accounting files.
Responsibilities- Manage the accounts of construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers to process monthly draws.
- Audit payables and estimate cash flow.
- Maintain receivables.
- Develop and maintain relationships with owners (AR), vendors, and suppliers.
- Keep abreast with construction and accounting industry, including lien laws.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining construction project accounting files.
- Understanding of project accounting principles.
- Monitor project compliance and financial regulations for subcontractors and general contractors.
- Understanding of Florida’s lien rights and NTOs.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective teamwork with the accounting department.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure project objectives are met.
- Knowledge of contract billing requirements.
- AIA billing for both subcontractors and general contractors.
- Collections and lien waivers.
- Lien preparation.
- Subcontractor change orders and back charges.
- Accounts payables for subcontractors and suppliers.
