Senior Accountant

Salary: $70,000–$75,000

Location: Sanford, FL | Fully Onsite

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
  • Manage federal grant accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, budget monitoring, and compliance reporting
  • Oversee capital asset accounting, construction‑related projects, depreciation schedules, and supporting documentation
  • Review financial transactions and reporting for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies
  • Partner with finance, operations, and program leaders to support audits, reporting requirements, and grant‑funded initiatives
  • Assist with process improvements, financial analysis, and special projects that enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
Qualifications For The Senior Accountant
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 2–4 years of grant, fund, government, or nonprofit accounting experience; higher education experience preferred
  • Experience with capital assets, financial reporting, and ERP systems such as People Soft
