Key Responsibilities of the Grant Accountant
  • Manage federal and grant-funded accounting activities, including reconciliations, budget monitoring, journal entries, and compliance reporting as the Grant Accountant
  • Monitor grant expenditures and funding activity to ensure alignment with federal, state, and organizational requirements as the Grant Accountant
  • Partner with program leaders, finance teams, and stakeholders to support grant administration and financial accountability as the Grant Accountant
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining documentation, preparing reports, and ensuring grant compliance as the Grant Accountant
  • Assist with capital asset tracking, financial analysis, and reporting related to grant-funded projects as the Grant Accountant
Qualifications for the Grant Accountant
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 3+ years of grant, government, nonprofit, fund, or project accounting experience
  • Experience with ERP systems such as People Soft and a strong understanding of compliance-focused financial reporting
