File Clerk

Description

We are looking for an organized File Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Sanford, Florida. This role involves managing and transitioning physical client files into digital formats while ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information. The position is project-based and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to an essential organizational task in the retail industry.

Responsibilities:

- Organize and prepare paper files for digital scanning and electronic storage.

- Operate scanning equipment to convert physical documents into digital formats.

- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with discretion.

- Label and categorize scanned files accurately for efficient retrieval.

- Manage file boxes and ensure the safe handling of documents during the transition process.

- Verify the quality and completeness of scanned files before finalizing them.

- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.

- Follow established procedures for secure storage and disposal of physical files.

- Keep detailed records of completed tasks and processed files.

Requirements - Previous experience with paper filing and document organization.

- Proficiency in operating scanning equipment and software.

- Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in file labeling and categorization.

- Familiarity with e-filing systems and digital document storage.

- Physical ability to lift and move file boxes safely.

- Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines.
