The part-time Admissions Assistant – Healthcare Programs provides clerical and administrative support to the Healthcare Programs by assisting with application processing, data entry, record maintenance, customer service, scheduling, and general admissions activities. Supports prospective and current students by providing basic information, responding to routine inquiries, and assisting admissions staff with daily operations and special events.

Responsibilities
  • Provides general admissions information and customer service assistance to prospective students, current students, visitors, and walk-in customers.
  • Assists with processing admissions applications by entering data, updating records, and maintaining accurate student files and documentation.
  • Enters and updates applicant and student information in admissions tracking systems and databases.
  • Assists with organizing, reviewing, and maintaining admissions documents, forms, and records.
  • Responds to routine telephone, email, and in-person inquiries and directs complex questions to appropriate staff.
  • Provides general information regarding college programs, admissions procedures, office hours, fees, directions, and available services.
  • Assists with scheduling appointments, information sessions, and student orientation activities.
  • Provides administrative support during campus tours, orientations, and admissions events as needed.
  • Assists with healthcare program admissions processes by providing applicant support, coordinating program-specific requirements, and maintaining related admissions documentation.
  • Assists with updating admissions-related materials, forms, and online information as directed.
  • Provides clerical support for healthcare program admissions processes, including organizing application materials and maintaining records.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
  • One (1) year of clerical or administrative experience.

  • Experience working in a college admissions office.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to research and locate information.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Ability to treat confidential information with sensitivity.
  • Ability to reason, exercise judgment, discretion and to work efficiently, accurately and without close supervision.

Environmental Conditions

Pay Benefits And Work Schedule

$14.70 hourly up to 26 hours per week.

Conditions of Employment

Finalists and individuals recommended for employment at Seminole State College must reside in the State of Florida at the time of hire and may be subject to background investigations and fingerprinting in compliance with Florida Statute 1001.64; and Seminole State College Policy 1.020; 2.020. Criminal background checks and fingerprinting will be conducted for all new employees, and for rehired employees who have had a break in service for one year or more.

The Office of Human Resources will determine which background checks shall be conducted for each position, based upon its review of job descriptions and the responsibilities of the position. These include, but are not limited to, positions that have access to money, master keys, security-sensitive areas and confidential information; positions that have the capability to create, delete, and alter records;
