Position: Enrollment Services Specialist I

Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION:

The Enrollment Services Specialist I processes all records documents in an electronic environment and performs data entry,update, and maintenance of student records. Interfaces with student services, advising, and academic departments with regard torecords/registration policies, procedures and/or decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • 1. Provides data entry/processing services and maintains accurate student records.
  • 2. Reconciles reports of discrepant data and makes appropriatechanges to student records.
  • 3. Accesses and assists with maintaining accurate active, inactive,and archived student records from numerous sources, such asPeople

    Soft, CSRS, IDM, vault, microfilm, and/or microfiche.
  • 4. Communicates records status to students and staff to ensure understanding.
  • 5. Researches issues related to high school validation.
  • 6. Processes all records documents, such as enrollmentverifications, name change, grade changes, transcripts and test scores.
  • 7. Prepares reports for student record proxy box.
  • 8. Responds to student record inquiries online, in person, and via telephone.
  • 9. Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1. Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of anacceptable equivalency diploma.
  • 2. One year of experience working in an office environment.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1. One year of experience in Admissions, Records or Registration.
  • 2. Associate degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • 1. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • 2. Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • 3. Ability to research and locate information.
  • 4. Computer skills proficiency in a Windows environment, including

    Microsoft Office.
  • 5 Ability to reason, exercise judgment, discretion and to work efficiently, accurately and without close supervision.
  • 6. Committed to working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • 7. Ability to exhibit a professional, courteous demeanor.
WORK ENVIRONMENT and SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
  • 1. Works inside in an office environment.
  • 2. May travel outdoors among buildings and campuses.
  • 3. May be required to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
