Role Description The Experienced Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based at Mercedes-Benz of North Orlando in Sanford, FL. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Mercedes-Benz vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine maintenance services, conducting comprehensive vehicle inspections, using diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electronic issues, and completing repairs efficiently and accurately.
The technician updates repair orders, communicates clearly with service advisors about vehicle status, and follows all safety and quality guidelines. The role also involves staying current with Mercedes-Benz training, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and helping ensure a positive service experience for every customer.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance, preferably with European or luxury vehicles.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, service manuals, and computer-based systems for troubleshooting and documentation.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension.
- Ability to follow manufacturer procedures, technical bulletins, and safety standards with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with service advisors and team members and explaining repair needs clearly.
- ASE certifications or equivalent credentials are highly preferred;
Mercedes-Benz factory training or experience is a plus. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate vehicles safely.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment, manage multiple repair orders, and meet established timelines.
