As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing project performance and profit from day one, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Project

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with engineers, architects, and general contractors (GCs) to determine project specifications and ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Contract Negotiation:
    Negotiate contracts with external vendors and subcontractors, securing favorable terms and managing relationships throughout the project.
  • Resource Management:
    Determine and allocate the necessary resources (manpower, equipment, materials) from start to finish, ensuring alignment with budgetary limitations.
  • Construction Planning:
    Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
  • Material Procurement:
    Acquire equipment and materials, monitor inventory levels, and address any shortages or inadequacies promptly.
  • Subcontractor Coordination:
    Hire and manage subcontractors, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and deliver quality work on schedule.
  • Field Crew Monitoring:
    Oversee the work of field crews to ensure it meets quality standards and project deadlines.
  • Progress Evaluation:
    Regularly evaluate project progress, preparing detailed reports to be shared with GCs and clients.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards, reporting and addressing any issues to maintain a safe work environment.
Experience
  • Experience:

    5+ Years of proven management experience in commercial concrete and masonry construction.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project; experience with Sage and Podio is a plus.
  • Construction Knowledge:
    In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  • Safety Standards:
    Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards; OSHA certifications are an advantage.
  • Communication:
    Outstanding communication and negotiation skills. Bi-Lingual in Spanish is a plus!
  • Organizational

    Skills:

    Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Leadership: A team player with strong leadership capabilities.
  • Certifications:

    PMP or equivalent certification is a plus. OSHA is a plus.
