Position DescriptionThe Briar Team, Central Florida's top family‑owned Site Development Construction company, is looking for hard‑working, experienced, and reliable Foremen for immediate hire. We are looking for someone with a solid background in leadership for our Pipe, Grade, or Punch Out crews.
As a Foreman, you will provide support in a variety of construction projects. You must work well as the leader of a team, be able to train and instruct new crew members in their individual tasks, enjoy working outdoors, and be able to perform strenuous physical tasks.
Benefits- Salary: $27.50 – $33.00 per hour

Weekly - Schedule:
6:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with optional Saturdays as needed - PTO available after 6 months

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in construction or plumbing is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pipe laying, pressure or gravity underground systems, or related construction work
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or foreman role
- Strong knowledge of pipe installation, repair, and maintenance techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
- Proficient in using construction and pipe‑laying tools and equipment
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Commitment to safety standards and regulations
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as required
- Balance and stabilize roadways
- Install base and finish grade roads for asphalt after stabilization and curb installation
- Operate the road grader full time
- Foreman plus: 3‑man crew, loader operator, and 2 ground support workers (own crews preferred)
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the road base and grading crew
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Interpret and enforce construction plans, specifications, and safety standards
- Assign tasks to crew members based on project requirements and individual skill sets
- Inspect work progress and quality to ensure adherence to design specifications
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery, such as graders and rollers, as needed
- Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to address any technical or scheduling issues
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs and project reports
- Order and manage materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for project completion
- Train new employees on proper grading techniques and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues arising during the grading process
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust project plans accordingly
- Ensure proper drainage and compaction techniques are applied during construction

- Pour valve pads
- Clean and paint sanitary manholes
- Touch up mud work in storm boxes
- Set meter boxes
- Install blow offs
- Assist crew in daily labor tasks
- Prepare construction sites, materials, and tools
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Remove debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from site
- Assemble and break down barricades and temporary structures
- Regulate traffic and erect traffic signs
- Dig holes, trenches, and shafts
- Mix, pour, and level concrete
- Use power tools such as concrete saws and jackhammers
- Follow health and safety regulations
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
