Architectural Project Manager

This is a high-visibility opportunity for an experienced Architectural Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of commercial, retail, restaurant, public facility, and institutional projects throughout Florida and beyond. As an Architectural Project Manager, you will oversee projects from initial client engagement through construction administration and closeout while balancing design quality, schedule, budget, client satisfaction, and team performance.

This role is ideal for an architect or architectural project leader who is ready to move beyond production and into meaningful project ownership. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor architectural staff, manage client relationships, and help shape the growth of the firm's architectural practice. Core responsibilities include:

  • Leading architectural projects from programming and conceptual design through construction administration and project closeout
  • Developing project execution plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, milestones, and deliverables
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams
  • Leading client meetings, design presentations, consultant coordination sessions, and project updates
  • Managing project financial performance, including budgets, fees, staffing, profitability, billing coordination, and resource utilization
  • Overseeing architectural design development, construction documentation, and technical coordination
  • Reviewing construction documents for quality, consistency, constructability, and compliance with project requirements
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams across architecture, engineering, planning, and construction administration
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes, zoning requirements, accessibility standards, permitting requirements, and client criteria
  • Managing scope changes, contract modifications, project risks, and client expectations
  • Mentoring architects, designers, and technical staff while supporting professional development and team accountability
  • Coordinating with contractors during construction, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, site visits, and field issue resolution
  • Identifying opportunities for repeat business, expanded client relationships, and future project opportunities
  • Supporting business development efforts, proposal development, interviews, and pursuit strategy as needed

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture
  • Strong project management experience within an architectural practice
  • Experience managing commercial, retail, restaurant, public-sector, municipal, institutional, or mixed-use architectural projects
  • Proficiency in Revit required
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation, detailing, building codes, permitting, and project delivery
  • Ability to manage schedules, budgets, staffing, scope, consultants, financial performance, and multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational, written, verbal, client-facing, and presentation skills
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Registered Architect preferred
  • Experience with Deltek, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, BIM collaboration tools, or construction administration platforms
  • Experience reviewing RFIs, submittals, change orders, field reports, and contractor questions
  • Experience leading client meetings, presentations, and project coordination discussions
  • Experience mentoring junior architects, designers, and technical staff
  • Experience supporting proposals, client relationships, repeat work, or strategic pursuits
  • Interest in advancing into senior architectural leadership within a growing multidisciplinary firm
