Are you a certified firefighter with a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of emergency responders? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Firefighting Instructor to lead our high school Firefighting Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.

• Teach firefighting fundamentals, safety procedures, and emergency response techniques
• Develop lesson plans aligned with state CTE standards
• Supervise hands‑on training and live demonstrations
• Prepare students for certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and Firefighter I
• Collaborate with local fire departments for field experiences and mentorships

• Must be certified as a firefighter by the Division of State Fire Marshal, Bureau of Fire Standards and Training
• Minimum of two (2) years of occupational experience or equivalent in part‑time fire fighting occupations (or six years for certain roles)
• Instructor must have and maintain Florida Fire Instructor Certification issued by the Division of State Fire Marshal, Bureau of Fire Standards and Training (IAW 69A37-065, F.A.C.)
• Meet training and certification standards established by the Department of Financial Services, Division of State Fire Marshal, as administered by the BFST
