Music Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to provide private and group lessons in our retail store. You'll teach students of varying ages and skill levels, focusing on band and orchestra instruments, and help them build strong musical foundations. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, tracking student progress, supporting recitals, and collaborating with store staff to promote lessons and student retention.

Ideal candidates have performance or teaching experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to music education and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop and follow structured lesson plans aligned with student goals
• Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
• Prepare students for performances, recitals, and school-related events
• Collaborate with store staff to promote lesson programs and student enrollment
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment in the studio
• Recommend instruments, accessories, and learning materials to support instruction
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and educators
• Support scheduling, attendance tracking, and basic lesson administration
• Uphold Music & Arts standards for customer service and music education
