CPH is seeking a talented entry-level Project Engineer to join our dynamic and highly collaborative land development team. The Project Engineer I supports project management activities by providing technical and administrative support throughout the project’s lifecycle.

Hiring Bonus of up to $10,000 for selected candidate!

The Project Engineer I is knowledgeable in engineering principles, strong organizational skills, and has the ability to work in a team environment.

Duties Include
  • Assist in the development of project plans, including the scope of work, timeframe, and budget.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assist in the design and development of engineering solutions, including drafting, and drawings.
  • Conduct inspections and quality control to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project design and development.
  • Ensure the design and engineering work complies with industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of proposals.
  • Ensure the projects comply with engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Prepare and/or present progress reports, including updates on project status.
  • Stay up to date with engineering technology and industry standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar software’s platforms.
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
  • Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.
Education And Experience
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant internship experience.
  • EI/EIT Certification or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hire.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles, project management, and industry standards.
