Reports To: Director, Finance
The Manager, Finance (Laboratory) leads a high-performing Analytics team supporting laboratory operations. This role is responsible for metrics reporting, pricing and contract analysis, profitability analysis, budgeting and forecasting support, and process improvement initiatives
. The position partners closely with laboratory leadership, sales, operations, and corporate finance teams to drive data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
- Manage accounting, financial reporting, and data analytics teams
- Develop presentation-ready decks for senior leadership
- Gather, analyze, present, and explain operational and financial metrics
- Analyze performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve operational outcomes
- Respond to ad hoc financial and operational analysis requests
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate pricing, profitability, capacity, and operational performance
- Gain deep understanding of customer and stakeholder needs and deploy analytics solutions accordingly
- Coordinate and review month-end close processes
- Lead and/or support complex, cross-functional process improvement initiatives
- Delegate, prioritize, and manage analytics team workload and projects
- Ensure high-quality analytical output and data integrity
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA, CPA, or MAcc preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of people management experience
- Extensive experience with financial systems and financial reporting
- Strong business process analysis and data analytics skills
- Proven ability to create complex financial models (profitability, pricing, operations)
- Proficiency in report writing tools (COGNOS or Crystal Reports)
- Intermediate SQL query writing skills
- Understanding of relational database concepts
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Six Sigma training or experience preferred
