Schedule & Shift

Part time – Day‑Weekend (United States of America). Saturday and Sunday, 6:45 am to 7:15 pm. Must be open.

Role Description

Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADL) and routine tasks. Provides direct patient care and therapeutic interventions. Observes and records patient behaviors and activities accurately. Reports changes in patient conditions to appropriate personnel and recommends treatment plan modifications. Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationships with assigned patients. Collaborates with patients, family members, physicians, and community providers to ensure continuous care. Manages and facilitates daily group activities as required.

Recognizes potential escalation of behavior and uses appropriate verbal and physical interventions. Identifies and addresses potential safety hazards for patients, visitors, and staff, notifying the appropriate department or person for correction. Assists in crisis situations, utilizing de‑escalation skills, maintaining patient safety and providing proper documentation. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to communicate appropriately, professionally, and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
  • Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and local, state, and national laws
  • Ability to understand and process instructions from physicians and other personnel
  • Proficiency in computer systems to enter and track patient records
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English
  • Customer service skills
  • Organizational ability, sound judgment, and initiative
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder and behavioral health terminology with various treatment approaches
  • Adequate knowledge of activities of daily living
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Additional languages (Preferred)
  • Understanding and the ability to lead group activities
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (Preferred)
  • Strong competence in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (Preferred)
Education
  • Associate (Preferred)
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent (Required)
  • Technical/Vocational School in a Social Science (Required)
Field of Study
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent (Required)
  • Technical/Vocational School degree in a Social Science (Required)
Work Experience
  • 1+ year in other health care related field (Preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
  • Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) (Required)
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) (Preferred)
  • Non Violent Crisis Intervention Program (Preferred)
Pay Range

$16.14 - $25.83
