Overview Position Summary

The Senior Regional Human Resources Manager (SRHRM) serves as the primary HR leader for multiple operating companies within an assigned geographic region. This role oversees and supports a team of 1–4 Regional Human Resources Managers or HR Managers, ensuring alignment with company-wide HR strategy and consistent, compliant execution of HR practices across all locations.

The SRHRM provides strategic and hands‑on HR partnership to local and regional leaders, fosters a strong and inclusive workplace culture, and serves as a key liaison between the field and Headquarters HR teams—including Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Compliance, and Talent Management.

This is a highly mobile, field‑based role requiring frequent onsite presence at operating company locations to provide direct leadership, employee relations support, and coaching to HR and operational leaders.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Regional Oversight
  • Provide hands‑on leadership and oversight of daily operations across the assigned region, including mentoring and managing the performance of 1–4 Regional Human Resources Managers or locations with a dedicated Human Resources Manager.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, processes, and best practices across all operating companies within the region.
  • Partner with regional and operating company leaders to identify workforce trends, risks, and opportunities to strengthen business and people outcomes.
  • Drive collaboration and information sharing between Regional HR Managers and Headquarters HR functions.
Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Serve as a senior‑level HR contact for escalated employee relations matters, investigations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
  • Partner with the HQ Compliance and Employee Relations team to ensure fair, consistent, and timely resolution of workplace issues.
  • Conduct site visits, HR audits, and compliance training to reinforce a positive and legally compliant workplace culture.
Talent Management
  • Partner with local and HQ teams to lead regional talent planning, leadership development, and succession initiatives.
  • Identify and develop high‑potential talent across the region, building strong leadership and bench strength.
  • Coach leaders on performance management, employee engagement, and career development to support a high‑performance culture.
Acquisition Integration
  • Support HR due diligence, onboarding, and cultural integration for new acquisitions within the region.
  • Provide leadership continuity and guidance to new operating company teams as they integrate into Kodiak’s HR framework.
  • Identify and manage change management and engagement strategies to ensure successful transitions.
Functional Collaboration with HQ
  • Partner with HQ centers of excellence (Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, HRIS, Compliance, and Talent Management) to ensure alignment and consistency.
  • Support rollout of company‑wide HR programs, policy updates, and compliance training across the region.
  • Participate in HR process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and standardization.
Travel & Onsite Presence
  • Maintain a consistent in‑person presence within the assigned region, visiting multiple operating companies weekly.
  • Travel by car/airplane frequently to support HR teams, facilitate training, and meet with employees and leaders face‑to‑face.
Qualifications (Preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a regional or multi‑site HR leadership role.
  • Proven success leading HR professionals and partnering with senior operational leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex employee relations matters with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel extensively within the region.
