Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Description
Who We AreCLX Engineering partners with PwC to deliver complex electrical and automation work in airport and industrial environments. Our projects operate in live facilities where uptime, safety, and coordination matter. We value people who understand both the field and the business side of execution—estimating, scheduling, billing readiness, and accountability.
This role supports PWC’s electrical operations while working closely with CLX leadership to deliver integrated solutions.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a high-impact Senior Electrical Project & Operations Manager to bridge the gap between field execution and executive-level operational strategy. In this dual-threat role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of complex electrical construction projects—from initial bid and estimating to field staffing and final billing. You aren't just managing projects; you are optimizing the "business of the field" to ensure safety, profitability, and long-term client satisfaction.
Requirements- Operational Leadership:
Oversee the day-to-day administration of multiple project teams, managing project managers, superintendents, and foremen to ensure schedule attainment and quality standards and stepping in as the on-stie leader when needed. Help develop repeatable processes and standards that lower the owner involvement in daily operations. - Financial Management:
Own the "Work in Process" (WIP) reports, ensuring projects maintain positive cash flow through accurate billing, labor tracking, and aggressive change-order management. Manage, review and submit expenses in a timely, documented manner. - Strategic Estimating:
Review and verify takeoffs and material costs. Track project cost and labor utilization. Identify scope changes and support change orders as well as minimize scope creep. - Project Lifecycle Oversight:
Direct all phases of construction, including pre-construction kick-offs, submittal logs, RFI management, and timely project closeouts. - Client & Stakeholder Liaison:
Act as the primary technical point of contact for general contractors to resolve design and scheduling conflicts. Support business development efforts alongside ownership.
- Background: 10+ years of verifiable experience in electrical construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management capacity.
- Licensing:
Active Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred; PE license is a significant plus. - Technical Proficiency:
Advanced knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and proficiency in project management/estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Procore, MS Project, or Bluebeam). - Safety:
Proven track record of enforcing OSHA and site-specific safety protocols.
- Airport, industrial, or large-scale commercial electrical projects
- Experience coordinating with controls/automation teams
- Familiarity with billing cycles, labor tracking, and cost forecasting
- Experience operating in small or growing organizations
- Combination of office, field, and job-site presence
- Travel required based on project needs
- Fast-moving, high-accountability environment
