5-Axis CNC Programmer

We are seeking an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer to support aerospace manufacturing operations. This role involves programming, setup, testing, and optimization of a Haas 5-axis CNC milling machine for the production of precision aircraft parts and prototype components. This is a 6 - 8 week contract role with the opportunity to become a direct employee long term.

Pay Rate: $65.00 an hour + $160.00 a day in Per Diem for those that qualify.

• Program and set up HAAS 10000SS Vertical Mill using G-code and Solid Cam.
• Program for the production of widgets, brackets, intercostals, and other aerospace parts.
• Modify and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis machining operations.
• Develop toolpaths using Fusion 360, Mastercam, SolidCAM, or equivalent software.
• Interpret CAD models, engineering drawings, and FAA-approved manufacturing data.
• Set up and operate Haas 5-axis CNC milling equipment.
• Perform machine setup, prove-outs, and first article validation.
• Support prototype development, PMA production, and STC-related fabrication activities.
• Maintain revision control of CNC programs and setup documentation.

• 3+ years of 5-axis CNC programming and machining experience.
• Experience programming and operating Haas 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Strong understanding of multi-axis machining strategies.
• Ability to read aerospace engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience machining aerospace materials including aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium.
• Ability to hold tight aerospace tolerances with minimal supervision.

The position is onsite at the Sanford facility, located near the airport. The workweek is 40-45 hours, Monday through Friday, with 1st shift hours from 7am to 3pm. There is potential for a 2nd shift from 4pm to 12am if preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Sanford, FL.

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00/hr.
