CNC Operator

Day Shift

Operating of a CNC Spinning Lathe. The operator will only run cycles of programs already installed in the machine. He/she may be required to assist other operators as a helper on other work or machines as required. This is a cross functional position within the Machine shop Department.

• Chooses metal blanks based on type and size required for job at hand
• Continue to run cycles on the machine
• Take out finished parts and stack with paper between parts
• Puts proper blank in machine and pushes cycle start button
• Inspects all parts to maintain correct dimensions
• Communicates with co-workers and supervisor/manager to receive instructions and coordinate priority jobs
• Follows all safety procedures and wears all proper safety equipment or apparel as needed
• Cleans area around work station at end of shift
• Report any and all problems to Manager/supervisor
• Always keep a clean and safe work area
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned
