Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder in Sanford, FL to cut and join metals and other materials for our client companies. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand, great attention to detail, and proficient knowledge of various metals and their properties. Experience in Tig welding and other welding competencies is required, along with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures
• Determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Set up components for welding according to specifications
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding
• Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions
• Repair machinery and components by welding pieces and filling gaps
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws
• Maintain equipment to ensure safety compliance

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a welder in aluminum/Tig
• Experience with a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA, etc.)
• Ability to use electrical or manual tools such as squares and calipers
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
• Proficiency in written and verbal English communication
• Deftness and strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in welding
