This department treats a mix of cardiac, neuro, post-CABG, stroke, and chest-pain patients, emphasizing patient safety, satisfaction, and evidence-based practice. ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care for telemetry and neuro patients.
Administer medications and monitor responses to therapy.
Recognize cardiac rhythm changes and intervene appropriately.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal outcomes.
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge care.
Support a culture of accountability, teamwork, and compassion.
QualificationsRequired:
Active RN license (Florida or Compact state).
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Med-Surg or Telemetry RN experience.
ADN or Nursing Diploma.
BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association).
NIH Stroke Scale certification (within 30 days of hire).
Preferred:
Prior experience in cardiac, neuro, or stepdown units.
