Job Summary

Provides leadership and directs functions of assigned patient care area on a 24‑hour basis; ensures effective delivery of clinical patient care and compliance with administrative and clinical policies and procedures. Administers, analyzes, and appraises the care given to patients within the Department. Advises the Acute Care Director regarding the status of patient care, budgetary projections, and quality‑improvement processes. Anticipates and estimates future needs of the Department to improve quality of patient care.

Qualifications
  • Current FL RN or ARNP license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN or ARNP license required within 90 days of hire.
  • Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree required; BSN preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
  • BLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Minimum 3 years RN experience in acute care setting required; 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
